Effective At-Home Cardio/Core Workout with No Equipment Needed!
Looking to boost your fitness without leaving your home or buying any equipment? This quick 30-minute at-home cardio and core workout is designed to get your heart racing, burn calories, and build endurance—no gym needed!
Let's Begin!
For the first 5 minutes, we're going to stretch to make sure we're ready to go and injury-free! We're going to start by sitting down, legs out in front, and touching your toes or stretching as far as you can. This is going to stretch the hamstring. Perform for one minute.
Next, squat all the way down as far as you can, and push one leg out at a time as far as it goes. This will stretch the abductors, and the squat position stretches your quadriceps. Perform for 30 seconds each leg, 2 times.
Next, we're going to stretch our calves and get the heart pumping a little! We're going to do small, rapid calf jumps. This is a simple dynamic movement that serves 3 purposes: Stretch the calves, get blood pumping to the lower body, and get your heart pumping a little, all to prepare for the workout. Perform for 1 minute.
Lastly, we're going to really stretch the calves to prevent cramping. Same position as the first stretch, sitting down with your feet out, lean towards one foot, and pull your toes toward you. Perform for 30 seconds on each leg.
We have 25 minutes left, so let's begin!
